At Waters Integrative Health Center, we are committed to an integrated medical approach to cancer prevention and treatment that may involve both traditional medicine coupled with sound alternatives and more natural options.

What does ‘Integrated Cancer Care’ mean to me?

It means supplementing and enhancing your treatments... and exploring natural alternatives whenever possible.

Traditional medicine has made enormous strides in its fight against cancer and it may not be in your best interest to abandon conventional treatments.  It is prudent, however, to investigate all alternatives when possible, and then make informed choices about the future of your own health care.  This is particularly true if you have just received a cancer diagnosis and are wondering what your options may be... along with any consequences or side effects of your decisions.

Truly Integrative Cancer Care does not just involve pumping the body full of toxic chemicals or bombarding it with radiation and hoping for the best.  There may be viable natural alternatives or adjuncts to some of your current conventional treatments and/or natural supplements, nutritional modifications or lifestyle alternations that can help enhance the results of your traditional treatments or reduce their side effects.  Your traditional cancer care specialist may not be skilled in the use of these natural alternatives and enhancements.  That is where we can help.  In addition to what we provide in holistic disease prevention strategies, Waters Integrative Health Center strongly recommends working with your primary care physician.  Together, as your partners in health care, we can help you reduce your cancer risk factors and increase your chances of survival with early detection.

What can I expect at the Waters Integrative Health Center?

No two cancer patients are alike, even if you have the same clinical diagnosis.

At Waters Integrative Health Center, we treat every individual with care and compassion.  We take the time to truly listen to you and assess the status of your body and your concerns about the disease itself.
After our initial consultation and a careful review of your medical records, we will evaluate your whole body through a series of comprehensive tests, which may involve blood work, nutritional assessments, and other analyses to help us pinpoint what natural therapies can help you.  Because cancer is an immune dysfunction disease, the best place to start is in nutritional education and nutrient enhancement, orally and/or intravenously, to your diet.

Waters Integrative Health Center Integrated Cancer Care includes:

• Expert medical opinions from a medical doctor about possible alternatives or enhancements to traditional medical treatment protocols.
• Complete nutritional assessments.
• Nutritional counseling from a physician who is sensitive to your special dietary needs.
• Health risk assessments - analysis of dietary history, lab values, symptom history, assessing the stresses in your life, family health history, mineral analysis and other individual health factors.
• Metabolic infusions to correct mineral and vitamin deficiencies or imbalances.
• Metabolic treatment of immune deficiencies brought on by the disease itself or as a side effect to traditional treatments
  Detoxification.

If you have been diagnosed with cancer, you can come in for an initial consultation for $550 to review your case with Dr. Waters.  Included in this fee, he will review any medical records you can bring, and you will also receive some beneficial handouts when you come in for your consultation.  He will also discuss the many treatment options available to you through our clinic.  If you decide to pursue treatment at this facility, Dr. Waters may require some general laboratory testing.
